Sometimes, you need to change your environment to bloom

Sometimes, you need to change your environment to bloom. 🌹Sometimes a flower doesn't need more water.It doesn't need more sunlight.It doesn't need to try harder.

Sometimes, it simply needs to be moved.

This rose was struggling. She wasn't happy where she was. No matter what we did, she just didn't seem to thrive.

So we changed her surroundings.

And suddenly, something happened.

She began to bloom.

Not a little.Not cautiously.

She bloomed as if she had been waiting all along for someone to place her in the right place.

And I couldn't help but wonder…

How often do we do the same to ourselves?

We search for answers within ourselves.We practise yoga. We meditate. We read books. We learn, reflect, analyse and try to become better versions of who we are.

And yet, sometimes, the peace we're looking for never comes.

Perhaps because we're trying to heal in the very place that keeps hurting us.

Perhaps we're trying to bloom in soil that was never meant for us.

Sometimes it isn't you that needs fixing.

Sometimes it's the environment.

The people around you.The energy you live in.The expectations placed upon you.The story you've been told about who you're supposed to be.

And sometimes, the most courageous thing you can do is move.

But here is the question that stays with me:

Who moves us when we don't realise we're in the wrong place?

I was the human who moved the rose.

She couldn't tell me she was unhappy.She couldn't ask for a different place.

I simply noticed.

And perhaps that's what we sometimes need from one another.

Someone who sees what we cannot see.Someone who gently says,

"Maybe it's not you.Maybe it's where you are."

And perhaps true growth isn't always about becoming stronger where we stand.

Perhaps sometimes, growth begins when we have the courage to leave the soil that is keeping us small.

Because we are not all meant to bloom everywhere.

Sometimes, we don't need to become someone new.

We simply need to find the place where we can finally become ourselves. 🌹
